Hamburg, Germany A large-scale LED ring upgrade at Hamburg’s Barclays Arena, delivering a new visual standard for live events through seamless audiovisual integration and reliable, venue-ready performance.
Barclays Arena required the replacement of an ageing LED ring that no longer met the technical and operational demands of a high-capacity, multifunctional venue. After more than 17 years in operation, the existing system presented limitations in performance, maintenance accessibility and long-term reliability.
TRISON delivered an end-to-end LED ring upgrade based on a high-quality Samsung solution, designed to create a continuous, high-impact visual surface fully integrated into the arena’s architecture. The installation was developed and executed as a permanent solution aligned with the venue’s live events requirements.
TRISON managed the entire installation process, from substructure and static calculations to on-site coordination within an active event calendar.

Fully integrated into the building’s structure, it supports the technical demands of concerts, sports events and touring productions while enhancing the visual experience for audiences.
This project builds on TRISON’s experience delivering large-scale LED ring installations in major German venues, such as the Uber Arena in Berlin, also developed in collaboration with Samsung.
Approximately 400 individual LED cabinets precisely aligned to form a seamless curved display, ensuring consistent visibility and uniform visual performance throughout the arena.
A top-service, outdoor-grade LED solution designed to withstand humidity and temperature variations, delivering flicker-free performance suitable for live events and broadcast production.
A continuous LED ring installed along the curved perimeter of the arena’s upper seating tier, featuring a discreet technical opening of approximately 18 cm on the stage side.
